Tarjuman Translate takes data protection seriously. Here's what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your information.

Data We Collect

Account data: Email address and password (stored as a bcrypt hash) upon registration.
Order data: Document type, selected plan, order status, and payment link.
Uploaded documents: Files you upload for translation (passports, diplomas, certificates, etc.). Stored encrypted in the cloud.
Payment data: Payments are processed through a secure payment gateway. We do not store card numbers, CVV, or other payment details — only the payment ID and confirmation status.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, and timestamps — for security and analytics.
Support messages: Messages sent to us by email or through the support form.

Why We Collect Data

Data is used solely to provide and improve the service:

Processing the document translation order
Delivering the completed translation to your dashboard
Sending transactional emails (order confirmation, completion notification)
Processing payments through a secure gateway
Preventing fraud and unauthorized access
Improving the platform using anonymized analytics

We do not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

How Data Is Used

Tarjuman Translate uses a combination of professional translators and automated tools. Document contents may be processed automatically for quality checks (resolution, readability). The translation itself is performed and reviewed by professional translators.

Any automated processing is governed by data processing agreements. Data is not used to train third-party models and is not retained beyond your order.

Where Data Is Stored

Documents: Stored encrypted (AES-256) in Supabase cloud storage (EU region).
Account & order database: Supabase (EU).
Payment data: Stored exclusively on our payment gateway servers (PCI-DSS Level 1).
Hosting & email: Site hosted on Vercel; transactional emails delivered by Resend.

For data transfers outside the EEA, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) approved by the European Commission are applied.

How Long Data Is Retained

Account data: While the account is active; deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
Uploaded documents: Automatically deleted 90 days after order completion.
Completed translations: Available in your dashboard for 90 days, then deleted.
Payment records: Retained for 7 years per financial regulations.
Technical logs: Deleted after 30 days.

Third-Party Data Sharing

We work with the following service providers who process data solely to fulfill orders:

Supabase: Database and file storage (EU)
Payment gateway: Payment processing (PCI-DSS certified)
Resend: Transactional email delivery
Vercel: Site hosting

Each provider is bound by a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) compliant with GDPR. We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

Yes, we use the following types of cookies:

Essential cookies: Required for authentication and session management. Cannot be disabled.
Analytics cookies: Anonymized analytics to understand site navigation. No personal data is included.
Payment cookies: The payment gateway sets cookies for fraud prevention during checkout.

Optional cookies can be disabled in your browser settings at any time.

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
Erasure ("right to be forgotten"): Request complete deletion of your personal data.
Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data.
Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time.
